False Claims
- The following claims/promises are prohibited:
- Making false claims about a product winning awards or having certifications without providing evidence of such awards or certifications in the content.
- Making false claims about a product being affiliated with other products.
- Exaggerating promotional prices or making unsupported price comparisons is not allowed. All price claims, including promotional prices, must be accurate.
- Making false claims about the origins of a product.
- Making false claims about product warranties.
- Making false claims about return or refund services for the product.
- Making false claims about the size, weight, or quantity of the product being sold.
- Making false claims about shipping, such as promising free shipping when it is not available.
- Making claims that disparage other brands.
- In a multiple-winner LIVE auction, do not claim that only one winner can purchase the product. (Refer to Live Auction Policy)
- Making claims that products are Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved
Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Approval Claims
Products cannot be marketed as FDA Approved/Certified/Endorsed or use any other term implying such approval on the platform. The FDA logo, "FDA" and "Food and However, users may state that their product is registered with the FDA, provide their FDA certification/notification number, and share official FDA certification records. Users are encouraged to direct consumers to the official FDA website for verification.Do Not | Do |
