Restricted Products
What are Restricted Products?
Restricted Products are those that require prior approval from TikTok Shop to be sold. You may be required to pass a category approval process by submitting documents such as certifications, testing reports, product or package images, and other regulatory documentation.You may be prompted to provide these when uploading products in the following categories.
Beauty and Personal Care Products
- This category will require sellers to provide specific product details and documents showing the product is safe for customers and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
❗ Required documentation
- Name and complete address of the seller
- Name and country of origin of production
- Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Registration Number
- Certificates (e.g. FDA License to Operate, Certificate of Product Registration)
- Image(s) of packing labels containing all mandatory information required by relevant laws and regulations
- Cosmetic product name, functions and usage instructions
- Size, content, or net weight
- Batch number, expiration date and notification number
- Ingredients and warning/caution statements
- Valid cosmetic product notification issued by Health Sciences Authority
- Other details where applicable
- Products that have medical claims or applications.
- Products that are prohibited by governmental agencies or contain prohibited ingredients such as mercury, hydroquinone, etc.
- Products that are restricted or recommended for professional use only.
- Second-hand beauty and personal care products.
All Food and Beverage Products
- Sellers who wish to sell any type of food and beverage products may be required to submit valid safety and compliance documentation before listing such items.

- Certificates (e.g: FDA License to Operate, Proof of Business Registration by Local Government Unit (LGU) or Mayor's Permit, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Registration)
- Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Registration Number
- Pictures of the product and its packaging
- Shelf life or expiration date(s)
- Product Ingredients
- Proof of any claims about a product's function or effects (if applicable)
Electronics
- Sellers may be required to submit supporting documents/ product attributes to verify that their electronic products are compliant with laws and regulations.
- Certificates (e.g.: Proof of Business Registration by Local Government Unit (LGU) or Mayor's Permit, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Registration)
- For products controlled by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) (ex. Computers, Office Equipment, Phones and Electronics, Data Storage):
- NTC Permit
- Warranty Type
Select Furniture, Household Appliances/Devices, Automotive Accessories, and Safety Products
- Sellers may be required to submit supporting documents/product attributes to verify select furniture, appliances, electronic devices, automotive accessories, and safety products like motorcycle helmets and infant car seats are compliant with relevant laws and regulations (i.e. products that have been selected by the Department of Trade and Industry: Bureau of Philippine Standards).
- Certificates (e.g: Proof of Business Registration by Local Government Unit (LGU) or Mayor's Permit, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Registration)
- Philippine Standards (PS)/Import Commodity Clearance (ICC) Number
Medicines, Supplements, & Medical Devices
- This category requires sellers who wish to list medicine, supplements of all types, and medical devices, to provide various documents/product attributes.

- Certificates (e.g: Food and Drug Administration License to Operate, Proof of Business Registration by Local Government Unit (LGU) or Mayor's Permit, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Registration)
- FDA License to Operate (LTO) for cosmetics, medical devices, food, or drugs, as applicable.
- For OTC Medicines: FDA License to Operate (LTO) for a drugstore with the additional activity of 'Online Ordering and Delivery"
- Proof of Business Registration
- Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Registration Number(s)
- Pictures of the product and its packaging
- Shelf life or expiration date(s)
- Product Ingredients
- Proof of any claims about a product's function or effects (if applicable)
Select Furniture, Automotive Accessories, and Safety Products
- Sellers may be required to submit supporting documents/product attributes to verify select furniture and automotive accessories, and safety products like motorcycle helmets and infant car seats are compliant with relevant laws and regulations (i.e. products that have been selected by the Department of Trade and Industry: Bureau of Philippine Standards).
- Certificates (e.g: Proof of Business Registration by Local Government Unit (LGU) or Mayor's Permit, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Registration)
- Philippine Standards (PS)/Import Commodity Clearance (ICC) Number
Toys & Musical Instruments
- This category requires sellers to submit supporting documents to verify that toys and musical instruments are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.

What happens if I breach these guidelines?
If you are found to violate these guidelines, you may have enforcement actions taken against your account.
