We are introducing a new way to measure your shop's policy compliance: Account Health Rating (AHR). Starting 15 June 2026, AHR will gradually replace the current Violation Points system. AHR will be rolled out gradually, so not all sellers will see the change at the same time. By 1 July 2026, AHR will be available to all sellers.
[Effective 15 Jun 2026] Late Dispatch Rate (LDR) Calculation Update

What's changing?
- Old: (Orders shipped late) ÷ (Total orders shipped)
- New: (Orders shipped late beyond SLA + Orders sill unshipped beyond SLA) ÷ (Total orders expiring within the period)

What this means for you
Your LDR score may increase under the new calculation if you have orders sitting unshipped beyond their SLA. A higher LDR can affect your store health status and may result in penalties.Action required
To keep your LDR healthy ahead of the July 2026 change:- Keep inventory accurate and ready to fulfill.
- Clear oldest orders first (First-In, First-Out).
- Check your Seller Dashboard daily for the "Action Needed" banner for pending orders.
- Confirm collection method with your Logistics Service Provider (LSP), ensure parcels are scanned in front of staff, and keep timestamped pick-up records for appeals.

We are updating our payment settlement structure to better support sellers at every stage. From 9 June 2026, a new four-tier settlement framework will replace the existing three-tier system
What is a Payment Settlement Period?
The payment settlement period is the number of calendar days between the date your order is delivered and the date your earnings are released to you. What's Changing?
BEFORE (Current)
- Express Settlement: 3 calendar days — for eligible shops meeting specific criteria
- Standard Settlement: 7 calendar days — default for non-TikTok Shop Mall sellers
- Extended Settlement: 15 calendar days — default for TikTok Shop Mall sellers, or applied to shops with elevated risk

- [Updated] Express Settlement: 1 calendar day — TikTok Shop Mall with a Store Rating of at least 4.5.
- [New] Accelerated Settlement: 3 calendar days — default for shops that have passed the New Shop Adjustment Period
- [Updated] Standard Settlement: 8 calendar days — default for shops that have not yet passed the New Shop Adjustment Period
- [Updated] Extended Settlement: 15 calendar days — applied based on account risk, activity evaluation, or policy violations
What does this mean to you?
Most established sellers who have passed the New Shop Adjustment Period will move to Accelerated Settlement (3 days) by default. Eligible TikTok Shop Mall sellers can qualify for the new 1-day Express Settlement. New shops will remain on Standard Settlement (7 days) until they complete the New Shop Adjustment Period. Creator commissions will continue to be paid out after the seller's orders are settled, so payout timelines for creators will reflect these updated periods.[Effective 1 Jun 2026] New Invite-Only Products: Refurbished Gaming & Console and Pre-Owned Camera

[Policy Update] Seller-to-Customer Returns: What to Do When You're Asked to Send an Item Back
TikTok Shop is introducing a formalised process to ensure fair outcomes for buyers and sellers after disputed returns. From May 2026, if a return is rejected and certain conditions are met, you may be required to send the item back to the buyer — even if no refund is being issued to them.
If you do not comply:
Thank you,
TikTok Shop
What is Seller-to-Customer Returns?
After a dispute is resolved, TikTok Shop may determine that the buyer should receive their item back. This applies in two situations:- TikTok Shop sides with you after a buyer dispute, OR
- The buyer does not raise a dispute at all
- The buyer simply wants their item back
- The item was custom-made
- The return did not qualify as a Change of Mind return
What this means for you
Once contacted, you have 3 business days to pack and ship the item using any budget courier that provides a tracking number. TikTok Shop will reimburse your shipping costs, provided you submit all required documents within the 3-business-day window. Economy shipping is fully covered; premium couriers (e.g. DHL, FedEx) are reimbursed only up to the original order shipping fee.If you do not comply:
- The case will be closed against you
- TikTok Shop will rule in the buyer's favour
- A full refund will be issued to the buyer
- You will not be reimbursed for shipping, even if you ship later
- You will lose your right to appealAction required

[Policy Update] Clearer Return Reasons and Expanded Partial Refunds
To improve the after-sales experience for buyers and sellers, TikTok Shop is updating return and refund reason options and expanding partial refund tools for sellers. These changes take effect in May 2026.
What's changing?Return & Refund ReasonsNew and updated reasons will appear when buyers raise a request:
Thank you,
TikTok Shop
What's changing?Return & Refund ReasonsNew and updated reasons will appear when buyers raise a request:
- "Product/Package is damaged" splits into "Outer packaging damaged" and "Item leaked, scratched, or broken"
- "Received parcel, but some items were missing" splits into "Main item missing" and "Free gifts or accessories missing"
- Fashion sellers — new reason "Ordered Wrong Size" classifies size-related returns as buyer-fault, meaning your seller-fault return/refund rate is unaffected. Buyers must submit evidence of unused condition
- Seller-initiated partial refunds for Refund Only requests are now available.
- Sellers should negotiate with the buyers prior to using this function, and only offer a partial refund if the buyer agrees to it.
- For Return & Refund requests,
- You can propose a partial refund earlier in the process, as long as the item has not been shipped back yet.
- Should the buyer reject, or fail to accept your proposal, you will be required to proceed with the return.
- A new "Negotiate with Buyers" filter in Seller Centre surfaces active counter-offer tickets
- Buyers will be guided toward more accurate reason selection, reducing incorrect seller-fault classifications.
- If a buyer accepts your partial refund counter-offer before escalation, that case is excluded from your Seller-Fault Return Rate.
Thank you,
TikTok Shop

From 25 September 2025, TikTok Shop will take enforcement actions against Sellers and Creators who publish repetitive, non-engaging short videos in bulk. These types of videos reduce content quality on the platform and negatively impact customer trust and engagement.

[Effective 19 Sep] Prohibited Content Editing Techniques
Prohibited Content Editing Techniques
To keep our platform safe, fair, and enjoyable for all users, we want to inform you of stricter enforcement against certain content editing techniques that attempt to hide unoriginal material. This includes:- Sandwich Frames – Adding unrelated pictures or videos above and below the main video, so the promoted content sits in the middle. This makes the video appear different to detection systems but provides no value to viewers.
- Subtle Frame Insertion – Inserting very quick flashes of random images inside a video. Viewers often can’t see these, but they change the video’s digital “fingerprint” to bypass detection.
We encourage you to focus on authentic, original content that adds value for your audience. For example, you can:
- Add captions, voiceovers, or overlays that explain your product.
- Include relevant B-roll footage or demonstrations to enhance your video.
